Arif Alvi vows to bring Karachi’s wheel to halt
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Arif Alvi Thursday said his party would stage sit-ins on 24 spots and bring the megapolis to a standstill.
PTI workers organized a rally from Defence to Clifton, Teen Talwar and chanted slogans in favour of PTI’s sit-ins in Karachi.
Addressing the rally, PTI leader Arif Alvi said his party would shut down the Karachi tomorrow, adding the Sindh government should not remain under any delusion.
He said it would have been better had Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) supported PTI’s protest in Karachi.
On the other hand, MQM chief Altaf Hussain had asked the PTI leadership to keep its protest demonstrations peaceful, saying that it is PTI’s constitutional right to stage sit-ins in Karachi.
