Avril Lavigne reveals 'health issues', asks fans for prayers

Canadian pop/rock star Avril Lavigne, has been absent from the music scene for a very long time and has revealed to fans that a possible reason for this are her health issues.

When a fan account Avril Lavigne Charts sent her a private message on Twitter inquiring why she hasn't released an album in two years, the singer, who hasn't been seen in public since September, responded:

"I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them [know] why I have been absent. I'm torn as I'm quite private. I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers."
